By paying your LemonTeam Corp services deposit, you agree to be bound by LemonTeam Corp’s Product and Services Terms & Conditions. It is your responsibility to check and be aware of all Terms and Conditions. You can review the most current version of our Product and Service Terms & Conditions at any time on this page. Your paid deposit date adheres to the terms and conditions on said date of your paid deposit. We reserve the right to update, change, or replace any part of these Terms of Service.

1. Cost of service & payment terms
Deposit payment
To secure your move date, binding quote flat price quote, and your requested moving services, a $50 deposit is required at the time of booking.
You have 24 hours to pay your deposit to secure your move date and binding quote flat price quote, from the date and time it is sent from your confirmation. LemonTeam Corp reserves the right to change the original quoted flat price if the customer does not pay their deposit within 24 hours. LemonTeam cannot guarantee availability if the deposit is not paid within 24 hours. The quoted flat price is subject to change due to peak moving days, customer time window request, and availability if the quote is not paid within 24 hours. Availability is not guaranteed, as we operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
If your quoted move is greater than $2,000, a 10% deposit of your total quoted moving fee is required on booking to secure your move date and your requested moving services.
All deposit payments are to be paid electronically via the secure payment link shared with you or over the phone. We accept all major credit/debit cards, MasterCard, AMEX, and Discovery.
Your deposit is fully refundable up to 1 business day prior to your move day if you request in writing via email that you wish to cancel your services with LemonTeam Corp. Allow for 5 business days for the process of LemonTeam Corp to refund your deposit. For example, if your move day is on a Wednesday and you would like to cancel your move, you must cancel by Monday afternoon to receive your deposit fully refunded. If you cancel on the Tuesday, which is the business day prior to your move, your deposit will not be refunded. For Saturday and Sunday moving dates, Thursday close of business is the cutoff to cancel and be fully refunded the deposit amount.
If you request a refund either the day of your move or within 1 business day before your move date, you will not be refunded your deposit.
In the event the customer postpones their moving date, LemonTeam Corp will refund the customer’s deposit 30 days from the postponed move date if the customer does not move with LemonTeam. This refund will be directly refunded to the customer’s card which the original deposit was paid with. If the customer wishes to move with LemonTeam post the 30 days of their postponed move date, they must rebook and pay a new deposit.
Outstanding balance payment
The remaining balance of your invoice is due 1 business day prior to your move date (except for Long Distance Inbound moves). LemonTeam Corp cannot move you unless the remaining balance of your invoice has been received.
For Long Distance Inbound moves, the remaining balance of your invoice is due 1 business day prior to the start of your pick-up window. LemonTeam Corp cannot move you unless the remaining balance of your invoice has been received.
We accept cash, bank check, and all major credit, visa, and debit cards for the remaining balance of your invoice.
If you have opted to pay cash or check on the day of your move, you must notify LemonTeam Corp in writing when you receive your invoice and/or during the booking process.
You must provide the total outstanding balance in cash or check to LemonTeam Corp foreman on arrival. LemonTeam Corp will not begin moving and loading the truck with your belongings unless cash or check payment has been made first.
If any outstanding payment is not made, a third-party debt collector will be contacted, and this may impact your credit score.
Cancellations and Moving Date Changes
To cancel your move and requested LemonTeam Corp service, a minimum period of notice of no less than 1 business day or 24 hours prior to your move date is required in order for you to obtain a full refund of your deposit and avoid additional penalties.
To reschedule your move date or requested LemonTeam Corp service, we require a minimum period of notice of 1 business day prior to your booked move date. Penalties will apply if we are not informed within these guidelines of our rescheduling date.
Peak periods require additional notice for rescheduling. All moving and storage services booked between the 25th to the 31st of any month, and the 1st to the 2nd of any month, are subject to a penalty of 100% of the total price if the rescheduling and cancellation notice is not provided within 3 business days of the original move date.
Additional charges
If on the day of your move, you have more items that are not reflected on your quoted and original inventory list, you will be provided with an updated quote for moving the additional items. For LemonTeam Corp to move your additional items, you will be required to review your updated quote and will be charged an additional moving fee for those items.
Payment for the additional items can be made over the phone; we accept all major credit, visa, and debit cards.
If payment for the additional items is made using cash or bank check, payment must be made prior to the move beginning.
We cannot move your additional items unless that additional item fee is paid at that time for your additional items.
If there is no parking within 150 feet of the entrance of the pickup and drop-off locations, an excessive carrying and pushing fee is applicable depending on volume and distance. The moving crew will advise the customer of this and inform the moving consultant who booked this service for the customer to charge the additional fee. This depends on the volume of your move, with the maximum fee of $300.
Payment of parking tickets is the responsibility of LemonTeam Corp.
If the drop-off destination is correctly provided at the time of booking, your guaranteed flat price quote includes fuel and mileage. For any additional 10 miles that LemonTeam Corp has to travel to complete services that were not originally accounted for, an additional fuel and mileage fee will be applied.
Hourly Labor Billing
It is the customer’s responsibility to specify the requested hours of labor they require for their hourly moving service when booking the service. If the hourly moving service exceeds the customer’s requested time frame, LemonTeam Corp is not liable for incorrect time frame estimates.
If hourly services are booked, LemonTeam Corp requires a minimum number of hours for hourly moving services: a minimum of 2 hours for 2 movers and a minimum of 4 hours for 3 movers. LemonTeam Corp will not book or confirm hourly moving services that do not meet these minimum requirements.
Hourly moving services commence when the LemonTeam Corp crew arrives at the pickup location and begins work. The start of work is considered when they first engage with the customer and begin providing services.
If additional time is needed to complete the hourly moving service, the customer will be billed for the additional time in hourly or 30-minute increments at the agreed hourly rate in their binding quote.
The customer must make payment for additional hourly moving fees and any other additional moving fees incurred during the move, which were not originally quoted, on the day of the move via credit card over the phone with a LemonTeam Corp sales representative. Payment must be made before LemonTeam Corp completes the hourly moving service and the bill of lading is signed at the drop-off location.
If the moving crew notifies the customer that additional time is required to complete the moving services beyond the original quoted time frame, the customer is responsible for paying for those additional hours. The moving crew will do their best to complete services in a timely and safe manner but will not be held liable for any additional hours incurred and fees passed onto the customer.
If the customer requests additional time to complete the moving services beyond the original quoted time frame, the customer is responsible for paying for those additional hours.
Hourly moving services apply only for local moving services and are subject to LemonTeam Corp’s management discretion. Flat price moving services are the default billing and moving service of LemonTeam Corp. Hourly moving services do not apply for long distance moves, storage move-in, storage move-out, or partial storage move services.
Promotional Codes and Discounts
Promotional codes, discounts, and coupons must be redeemed with a LemonTeam Corp Sales Representative prior to finalizing your quote for them to be accepted. Your quote will reflect the applied discount.
Promotional codes, discounts, and coupons are not applicable to your finalized quote. You cannot apply promotional codes, discounts, and coupons after you have received your quote.
The only exception to a discount on a quote is a comparable competitor quote. The competitor’s quote must be emailed with supporting documentation to LemonTeam Corp. If the competitor’s services are like-for-like, and the quote is legitimate from an equal-size organization, LemonTeam Corp will aim to match or beat the competitor’s quote. However, there is no guarantee that LemonTeam Corp will match or provide a discount.
If a customer, who is moving with LemonTeam Corp, has applied an active promo code during the booking process, that same customer cannot be a referral customer. A referee cannot claim a referral commission fee if their referral has applied a promo code and discount to their move. Referral commissions are not valid and are not paid in this case.
Cost of Service
Costs of our services are subject to change if the date or time of reservation is changed by the customer.
LemonTeam Corp requires 1 business day of notice for the rescheduling and cancellation of moving materials delivery and pickup (boxes, bins, packing materials). A failure to meet this requirement will attract a penalty of $50.
The total quoted cost of services includes blankets and tape for furniture protection, dollies for the duration of the move, fuel, mileage, and toll charges.
Additional waiting time charges may be applicable if there are any delays caused by the customer or the building’s management.
Cost of service is subject to change if the customer adds additional items or services that were not originally quoted in the initial estimate.
If any flights of stairs are involved in the logistics of the move, a stair fee charge will be applied. If any additional stairs at the destination were not disclosed by the customer to LemonTeam Corp during booking, an additional stair fee charge will be applied.
For video estimates, the quote provided by LemonTeam Corp for moving services is based on the items shown in the video quoting process and the inventory list agreed to by the customer when booking their move. If additional items or services are added that were not quoted in the original estimate, the cost of service is subject to change.
LemonTeam Corp’s flat price quote includes the wrapping, packing, and protection of basic furniture and large items such as TVs, dressers, sofas, etc. It strictly does not include packing of household goods such as books, kitchen items, items in drawers, clothes, plates, or any miscellaneous household items that can fit into a box and were not listed on the quoted inventory list. Packing of such items is the responsibility of the customer, to ensure their items are properly packed before the move date unless the customer has selected LemonTeam Corp’s packing service, which is not included in the flat price quote and will be charged as an additional service fee.
If additional items are to be packed that were not included in the original quoted inventory list, these items will be charged with an additional packing and moving fee.
The minimum size of local moving and local storage services performed by LemonTeam Corp is 200 cubic feet. If the local moving service or local storage service is under 200 cubic feet, the customer will be charged for the 200 cubic feet service and no discounts will apply.
2. Customer Responsibility and Expectations
The customer or their legal representative (a power of attorney must be provided prior to the move) MUST BE present at all times during the move. If the customer or their representative is not present, LemonTeam Corp will not be responsible for any claims.
The following items are strictly prohibited from being moved or packed by the client: scuba gear, plants, nail polish and nail polish remover, oil and gas, grill/barbecue supplies, pets, firearms and ammunition, fireworks, chemistry sets, and other hazardous materials. Hazardous materials include, but are not limited to, fertilizers, paints, aerosols, pesticides, motor oil, batteries, and acids. Clients are responsible for ensuring these items are not included in their packed belongings, and the moving company reserves the right to refuse transportation of any such items.
All furniture must be emptied by the customer prior to the move. This includes items such as dressers, drawers, refrigerators, and freezers. The only exception where furniture items do not have to be emptied is if the customer has elected and is paying for LemonTeam Corp’s packing services. If the customer has selected packing services, refrigerators, freezers, and perishable goods must be packed by the customer according to food and safety regulations. LemonTeam Corp will not be held liable for any sickness, damages, or death caused by food poisoning.
Customers must unplug any electronic devices; our moving crew will not unplug or install any electronic components.
Before collection, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that televisions and monitors are accompanied by their respective power cables for testing purposes. Failure to provide these cables will result in the inability to test the functionality of these items. In such cases, LemonTeam Corp will not be held responsible for any damage or malfunction of the items during transportation.
If the customer has decided to pack their own items, they must do so using durable boxes and packing materials suitable for transportation.
Food and perishable items can only be moved locally in a moving box packed by the customer. LemonTeam Corp is not liable for food safety. If a customer has elected packing services, refrigerators, freezers, and perishable goods must be packed by the customer in compliance with food and safety regulations. LemonTeam Corp will not be held liable for sickness, damages, or death caused by food poisoning.
Pets and live animals will not be moved by LemonTeam Corp.
Small to medium-sized live house plants will be moved by LemonTeam Corp. The customer is responsible for providing accurate descriptions of the plant size and weight during the booking process.
The maximum height of a plant that LemonTeam Corp will move is 200 cm/6.5 ft, for local moving services only.
Under no circumstances will LemonTeam Corp load or move the following items: live pets, firearms, illegal substances, and chemicals.
LemonTeam Corp will only move live house plants that are of reusable size for local moves of less than 250 miles from pickup to delivery location. The house plant must be in an appropriate pot for handling and should be of a reasonable size for human handling.
Under no circumstances will LemonTeam Corp move live plants for long-distance moves (250 miles or more).
LemonTeam Corp will not move live plants into our storage facility for storage, except in emergency storage situations. If the customer has an emergency storage requirement related to a long-distance move, LemonTeam Corp will not move any plants placed into emergency storage to the long-distance destination.
If you have a waterbed, we will be happy to move it. However, we are not waterbed technicians. We will follow your instructions, but you must conduct a final inspection before our crew leaves. We will not send men for later adjustments. If you prefer to have a waterbed company move your bed, please make those arrangements.
We only move empty aquariums. (This means empty of water and also empty of creatures such as lizards, turtles, and snakes.)
If you pack glass, porcelain, ceramics, etc. yourself, we will move them carefully, but we will not be responsible for breakage and/or resulting damage to packed and unpacked fragile items. If you wish to have fragile items packed in order to be covered by basic or additional insurance, you will be charged for packing and materials. If you decline additional materials, we will move the items, but you will be asked to sign a waiver.
Our moving personnel will move your pianos, appliances, and items over 300 lbs, if the work can be done safely. It is the moving foreman’s discretion to make this decision when assessing these items, the space, and location of the move-out and move-in addresses.
The customer is responsible for signing the “Bill of Lading” at the time of pick-up and delivery, both stages of the move.
The condition of all TVs must be signed for at the pick-up and drop-off locations. LemonTeam Corp movers will test TV functionality by turning it on and switching channels at both addresses, and the customer is required to sign that the TV works or does not work at the pick-up or drop-off locations.

In moving situations where LemonTeam Corp is moving roommates, couples, or divorced couples separating their items for different drop-off locations, LemonTeam Corp will not be held liable for claims or damages regarding missing items or items delivered to the wrong location. It is the clients’ responsibility to divide items and inform LemonTeam Corp via their inventory list which items belong to whom for delivery. LemonTeam Corp will not communicate with the individual on behalf of the client who has taken the items in question, either by accident or with intent. It is the client’s responsibility to discuss the whereabouts and ownership of such items with the other individual. LemonTeam Corp will not be held liable for any claims that items were moved without consent if the customer booking the move added those items to their inventory list. The client is responsible for any damages or claims from any parties who contact LemonTeam Corp and claim their items were wrongfully moved.
Boxed items packed by the client must be packed in boxes durable enough to carry the weight of the contents, with each box weighing no more than 35 lbs.
LemonTeam Corp’s standard service includes one set-up option per item when placing items in the customer’s new location. Services do not include multiple rearrangements of furniture and items at the customer’s request.
LemonTeam Corp advises clients to use sturdy and durable boxes for packing belongings. Due to the stacking of boxes within our trucks during transportation, weaker boxes may risk being crushed, despite our adherence to industry-standard handling practices and careful attention.
Unless explicitly requested and confirmed as a contactless moving service during the booking process, it is the client’s responsibility to ensure the closure, sealing, and locking of all doors, windows, and any other entry points both at the origin and destination locations involved in the moving process. This includes, but is not limited to, securing access points such as gates, garage doors, and any other means of entry or exit.
Furthermore, upon completion of the relocation process, and after the movers exit the premises, it is the client’s responsibility to ensure that all doors, windows, and access points are properly closed, sealed, and locked. The client must remain present until the movers have completed their work and should be the last to leave the location. The moving company shall not be held liable for any damage, loss, or security breach resulting from the failure of the client to properly secure the premises after the movers’ departure.
LemonTeam Corp does not provide hoisting services for moving items through windows, balconies, or other unconventional methods. Our services are limited to standard loading, unloading, and transportation of items within accessible areas of buildings, based on their dimensions. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all items can be safely transported through staircases, elevators, and doorways in terms of their dimensions. LemonTeam Corp shall not be liable for any damages, items not moved, or delays arising from the customer’s failure to ensure accessibility of items for transport.
LemonTeam Corp provides a simple disassembly service for items requiring the removal of up to 8 screws, provided the item parts are not permanently affixed together (e.g., glued or sewn) and do not involve connected electrical/electronic components. This service is offered to facilitate fitting items through doorways or other confined spaces. If an item requires more extensive disassembly to facilitate transport, LemonTeam Corp reserves the right not to move the item.
3. Insurance and Valuation Coverage for Customer Belongings
Your belongings will be covered by the free BASIC coverage of $0.60 per pound per item, as required by the Department of Transportation, New York, by default.
If you wish to purchase the optional Declared Value Protection, you can do so at movinginsurance.com. Any additional coverage through our third-party insurance provider, movinginsurance.com, must be purchased at least 48 hours before the move and cannot be added on the day of the move or after the move.
It is your responsibility to purchase this additional insurance. If you have high-value items, we strongly recommend that you purchase third-party insurance, as we are only liable to pay $0.60 per pound per item if the item is damaged or lost.
LemonTeam Corp may request additional fees if you have opted for third-party insurance for your items to ensure our moving and packing supplies match the value of your items.
We require a minimum of 3 business days to create any wooden crates or custom packing containers for your valuable items.
LemonTeam Corp is not liable for any insurance claims or damages filed by the customer for items that were already broken or damaged when picked up at the origin location. LemonTeam Corp reserves the right to photograph and document damaged items on the bill of lading at both the pick-up and drop-off locations. The customer must acknowledge and sign that these items were already damaged prior to LemonTeam Corp moving them. The customer waives LemonTeam Corp from being liable for claims regarding these specific damaged items during the moving and storage services. If the customer refuses to sign the bill of lading, LemonTeam Corp cannot perform the moving services and will refund the customer.
If any item from a “set of furniture” is lost or damaged, payment/refund will only be made for the value of the damaged item, calculated according to the valuation formula defined by the Department of Transportation, not for the entire set.
It is a felony punishable by law to double file a claim for damages for your item(s) through both a moving company and a third-party insurance provider for the same item(s). This is referred to as “double dipping” and is illegal. This occurs when a customer has purchased insurance for their items from a third-party insurance provider before the move and files a claim for the same item(s) with both the moving company and the third-party insurance provider.
Legally, a claim for one item can only be filed through one insurance provider—either through the moving company providing basic valuation/DOT insurance or the third-party insurance provider, if the customer purchased insurance from them.
If an item has been claimed for damages twice, the third-party insurance provider will contact LemonTeam Corp requesting a damages fee for the item(s), in which case LemonTeam Corp has already provided the customer with a damages fee via basic valuation/DOT insurance. In such cases, LemonTeam Corp will provide evidence of “double dipping” to the third-party insurance provider. If the customer has double-filed, they agree to notify both LemonTeam Corp and the third-party insurance provider that they have double-filed, so that the claim can be closed by both parties. To avoid committing a felony, the customer must cancel the claim with one of the two parties before the claim is processed and any compensation is provided by either party.
4. Building Insurance – COI (Certificate of Liability Insurance)
LemonTeam Corp will provide customers who have booked and paid for their move in full with a Certificate of Insurance (COI) if required by your building’s management to perform the move, through our third-party insurance provider.
It is the customer’s responsibility to obtain the requirements from building management, provide them to us via email before their move, and notify LemonTeam Corp if their pick-up or drop-off location requires a COI.
LemonTeam Corp reserves the right to refuse to move the customer or charge an additional fee if we arrive at the pick-up or drop-off location and the customer has not provided COI information prior to the move date.
LemonTeam Corp does not provide floor and wall masonite protection in our standard flat-rate moving service fee. If the customer or building management requires wall and floor masonite padding/protection, it is the responsibility of the customer to communicate this before their move date when booking the move, or within 48 hours of the move date to ensure that masonite material is prepared for the move. Additional material and handling fees apply for masonite protection.
5. Claims and Refunds
Our goal is to resolve any claims as quickly as possible after receiving your LemonTeam Corp claims submission form, images, and relevant documentation regarding your claim.
You have 30 days from the date of move/delivery (or in the event of loss of the entire shipment, from the date your shipment should have been delivered) to file your claim. If you fail to file a claim within 45 days from your moving date, LemonTeam Corp will not be held liable for any damages or liabilities.
The claim must be submitted in writing to LemonTeam Corp. After you submit your claim, LemonTeam Corp has 30 days to acknowledge receipt of your claim. LemonTeam Corp has 120 days to provide you with a disposition. LemonTeam Corp is entitled to 60-day extensions if the claim cannot be processed or disposed of within 120 days.
In the event that LemonTeam Corp is late arriving within the intended pickup time frame window for your local move, LemonTeam Corp will compensate the customer with a refund of 5% of their total service fee for every subsequent late hour. The maximum late compensation refund to be paid to a customer is 15%. If LemonTeam Corp is more than 3 hours late, the compensation fee is capped at 15%. Late compensation refunds apply only to pickup window time frames, not drop-off location time frame windows. For example, if the customer’s pickup window is from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and LemonTeam Corp arrives at 11:30 AM due to unforeseen circumstances, a compensation refund of 5% is payable. A claim for a late fee compensation is only payable to customers who make their late compensation claim via our claims page form on our website or by email. Additionally, the claim must be made on the day of the move or 1 day after the move date. If a customer requests this refund 2 days after their move day, the refund is not payable, and LemonTeam Corp is not liable to pay the requested refunds. If LemonTeam Corp is late and the customer does not request the late refund compensation, LemonTeam Corp is not liable to disclose this term or make payment to the customer.
The claimant/submitter of the foregoing claim to LemonTeam Corp hereby solemnly swears to the truth of the statements contained herein and exhibits attached hereto, and that no material fact is withheld that should be included in this claim report. Once this claim/form has been reported/submitted, the claimant has 48 hours to report any additional issues, after which no additional items or issues can be added to the claim or raised as a new claim to LemonTeam Corp.
In circumstances where a claim is open or requested prior to the completion of delivery or services, LemonTeam Corp reserves the right to issue a refund or compensation for the claim only after the goods have been delivered and/or the service has been marked as completed.

A claim cannot usually be resolved immediately, and it may take some time before items can be inspected, repaired, or replaced. We appreciate your cooperation and patience in this process. Here’s what you can expect from the process:
We take your feedback and claims very seriously. Once we have received all the information regarding your claim, including any supporting pictures or evidence, our claims team will be in touch to begin investigating your claim.
Your appointed contact in our claims department will be your key contact as we work to resolve your claim. They will email and call you as we make progress and find a fair resolution as quickly as possible.
We will present you with a fair and considered settlement offer. If you accept the offer, we will compensate you accordingly. If our offer is not accepted, we will work with an independent arbitrator where appropriate.
LemonTeam Corp will not take responsibility for the items reported as damaged if LemonTeam Corp was not performing transportation and/or final delivery of the items. The customer must seek damages through the third party arranged/hired by the customer.
6. Safety of Moving Crews and Customers
All LemonTeam Corp moving personnel have undergone two weeks of intensive training that covers job safety, packing and unpacking, lifting, securing items, safe driving, and customer service training.
Our moving personnel are covered by third-party work compensation insurance, as required by New York State law, and LemonTeam Corp covers this insurance.
Customers are advised not to get involved in carrying items for which they are paying LemonTeam Corp’s services. If a customer lifts an item and gets injured, they do so at their own risk. LemonTeam Corp is not liable for any claims or damages caused by the customer during the move.
Customers are expected to treat LemonTeam Corp moving personnel respectfully. LemonTeam Corp reserves the right to stop a move if a customer is harassing the moving personnel.
7. Contactless Moving Services
If a customer or their legal representative cannot be present during the physical process of the move, they are required to inform LemonTeam Corp during the booking process that they will not be present and will require “contactless moving” services. Contactless moving is when the customer or their legal representative is not physically on-site at any point during the pickup or delivery of the shipment.
If a customer books a contactless moving service with LemonTeam Corp, the customer agrees to LemonTeam Corp’s contactless moving services terms and conditions. By paying your LemonTeam Corp service deposit and/or any moving fees, you agree to be bound by LemonTeam Corp’s Product and Services Terms & Conditions.
The customer must be available online on the move day for phone and video calls with LemonTeam Corp moving personnel to view the move, answer questions, and inspect the completed move.
The customer is required to sign their bill of lading electronically to acknowledge the accurate loading and completion of their move with LemonTeam Corp.
By accepting the shipment from the “contactless moving” service, the customer will not hold LemonTeam Corp liable for any claims or damages to the building or apartment, such as dents, scratches, damage to walls, floors, or doors.
LemonTeam Corp will not be held liable for any claims or damages for items that are already broken or damaged upon arrival. LemonTeam Corp may take photographs of any broken or damaged items and report them to LemonTeam Corp’s claims department before moving the item. LemonTeam Corp will not cover such items with the basic insurance required by the Department of Transportation, amounting to $0.60 per pound of an item, and will not provide further compensation for these items.
LemonTeam Corp will not be held liable for any damages or claims for items and boxes packed or wrapped by the customer. This includes boxes packed incorrectly by the customer that are susceptible to damage. LemonTeam Corp will cover such claims with the basic insurance required by the Department of Transportation, amounting to $0.60 per pound of an item, and will not provide any further compensation for these items.
LemonTeam Corp will not be responsible for disposing of any items or rubbish that are not included in the customer’s moving inventory list as an item to be moved or disposed of. LemonTeam Corp will leave items at the property that were not included in the customer’s moving inventory list. Additionally, LemonTeam Corp will not be responsible for any disposal fees incurred by the customer from their building management company for items to be disposed of after the moving service is completed. The customer is responsible for paying any disposal fees charged by the building management company for items that were not moved.
The customer is responsible for providing LemonTeam Corp access to their pickup and drop-off location through a legal representative or building management. LemonTeam Corp is not responsible for the security of the pickup or drop-off location during the contactless move and will not be held liable for any claims of theft, damage, or lost keys to the location. To the best of its ability, LemonTeam Corp will close the main door and return any keys to a designated representative of the customer at the location. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that keys have been handed over and doors locked. LemonTeam Corp will not drive to drop off keys to the customer’s legal representative or ensure the secure locking of all access points during a contactless move.
LemonTeam Corp cannot guarantee that all items will be packed and moved during the election of a contactless moving service by the customer. LemonTeam Corp can only move the items that have been included in the inventory list and can only assume what those items are when packing and performing the move in the absence of the customer. If the customer is not available for a video call during the entire packing and loading process, they acknowledge that they will not hold LemonTeam Corp liable for any items that were not packed or were forgotten. It is the customer’s responsibility to provide an accurate inventory list, instructions for each item, and be available for calls to help direct the movers, especially for full packing contactless moving services.
8. Long Distance Moving Services
LemonTeam Corp provides the following long distance moving service options: 1) Consolidated shipping 2) Straight delivery.
LemonTeam Corp reserves the right to use a third-party insured long-distance moving provider to ship and move your items to your drop-off location, depending on the distance of your move.
If a third-party long-distance carrier is completing the shipment and drop-off of your long-distance move, all communication for long-distance moves will be handled with LemonTeam Corp, who will liaise with the carrier on your behalf.
If any claim arises during your long-distance move where a third-party long-distance carrier was involved, you must submit your claim to LemonTeam Corp for handling, in accordance with our claims processes and procedures.
Consolidated Shipping: LemonTeam Corp will pick up items on the agreed reservation pick-up date and time. LemonTeam Corp will reload items into long-distance trailers at the dispatch center to ship items to the customer’s drop-off location. Multiple customers’ items may be packed and organized in one long-distance trailer.
Consolidated Shipping: LemonTeam Corp cannot guarantee an exact delivery date during the booking process for Consolidated Shipping. The customer will be provided with a delivery time window; this is determined by the distance between the pick-up and delivery points, the month, date, and other logistical variables. Once the exact delivery date and time have been confirmed within the delivery window, the customer will be informed. The delivery window time frame is provided in business days, and deliveries may also occur on non-business days (weekends).
LemonTeam Corp aims to deliver your shipment in the delivery window noted in your reservation booking. We will provide a minimum of three updates on the shipment’s expected delivery date. The first update will occur one business day after the move to confirm that the shipment has been processed in our facility and is ready to be assigned to the first available vehicle. The second update will occur once the items have been processed out of our facility and are marked as ‘in transit’. The third update will occur once the exact date and time of delivery are confirmed. Updates may overlap due to dispatching distance and time for delivery.
Exclusive Straight Delivery: LemonTeam Corp will pick up items on the agreed reservation pick-up date and time. LemonTeam Corp will also drop off the customer’s items at the agreed drop-off delivery window. The entire long-distance tractor-trailer is reserved for the customer’s out-of-state move.
LemonTeam Corp is not responsible for any delays caused by road closures, unexpected traffic jams, accidents, or any law enforcement stops during your long-distance move, which may impact your drop-off date and time.
LemonTeam Corp will refund $50 per day for any delay in collecting or delivering long-distance shipments, past the collection or delivery window from the contract, if missed due to mechanical failure, road conditions, or poor logistics planning.
A shuttle truck transfer may be required if a 53-foot truck is unable to fit at the delivery address and will be included at no additional cost. The customer is obligated to inform LemonTeam Corp one day before the pick-up and drop-off if the street can accommodate a 53-foot truck so that LemonTeam Corp can arrange shuttle truck transfer if necessary.
LemonTeam Corp has the right to place your items in storage and re-deliver them at the first available date if nobody is present at the delivery point within the guaranteed delivery window. Additional re-delivery and storage space fees will apply.
At the time of pick-up, the customer should inform LemonTeam Corp of the first available delivery date to accept the shipment at the delivery address. If a customer wishes to change the first available delivery date (FADD) after the pick-up is done, additional fees may occur to cover the loss of logistics planning or re-delivery and storage.
Insurance coverage for long-distance moves is outlined under the Valuation Coverage for Your Belongings terms and conditions.
9. Packing and Unpacking
Moving materials used to move your items belong to LemonTeam Corp and are retrieved at the end of your move. Any purchased moving materials prior to your move from LemonTeam Corp belong to the customer. Moving materials such as moving blankets, TV boxes, wardrobe boxes, picture boxes, and any other moving materials belong to LemonTeam Corp and will be retrieved at the drop-off location prior to departure.
Transportation of breakables without proper or recommended containers: Unpacked items of a fragile or breakable nature include, but are not limited to, the following: waterbed mattresses, glass of any kind, lamps, lampshades, pictures, mirrors, marble, granite, stone, pottery, LCD or plasma TVs, and artwork of any kind. They MUST be packed in a proper box. Damage claims for such items will not be honored unless they are packed or crated in the recommended container by the carrier. The customer accepts responsibility for any item that is placed onto our trucks without proper packaging. LemonTeam Corp will always recommend proper containers for such items.
Full packing and unpacking services performed by LemonTeam Corp will be completed if requested by the customer for an additional service fee. Last-minute packing requests may not be serviced.
LemonTeam Corp will provide packing paper, boxes, and packing supplies if packing services have been requested at the time of booking; these packing supplies are included in the packing service fee.
LemonTeam Corp will not provide bubble wrap for any items unless requested by the customer at the time of booking.
LemonTeam Corp will pack items in accordance with the room they are from and the type of item they belong to. Movers will mark the room from which the box content was collected but will not write a detailed inventory of each box. We will pack items randomly and safely but will not separate the contents of drawers across different boxes. Packing will be performed in a manner that ensures an efficient and safe operation. It is the customer’s responsibility to organize their items before LemonTeam Corp begins the packing service.
LemonTeam Corp is not responsible for additional packing of boxes if the number of boxes is not enough, which was agreed upon during booking by the customer, unless the customer agrees to the additional fees that are predetermined for any additional packing at the time of booking.
If the customer has requested unpacking services, LemonTeam Corp will unpack the boxes and dispose of the cardboard boxes and packing materials used at the time of packing.
LemonTeam Corp will unpack the items at the designated place upon customer instruction but will not organize the contents of boxes as the customer desires, nor in a stylish/designer manner.
LemonTeam Corp will safely and efficiently unpack china and kitchen box content but will not organize china and breakables in a matching grouping or stylish/designer manner.
10. Plastic Moving Totes/Bins for Hire
LemonTeam Corp offers plastic moving totes for hire for an additional fee.
LemonTeam Corp will drop off the hired plastic moving totes to the customer’s nominated location for packing use.
The customer has a maximum of 5 days post their move-in date to return all hired plastic moving totes clean and in the same condition in which they received them. LemonTeam Corp will collect the plastic moving totes from the nominated location after the move.
If a LemonTeam Corp plastic moving tote is damaged or missing, the replacement fee per plastic moving tote is $50.
11. Moving Supplies to Purchase
LemonTeam Corp offers moving supplies such as boxes, packing paper, and tape for purchase in moving bundles designed for home sizes and customer needs.
LemonTeam Corp does not sell individual moving supplies per unit unless a customer has already purchased a moving bundle and requires some additional add-ons.
LemonTeam Corp offers moving supplies in bundles that can be purchased during the booking process or prior to the move day. A minimum of 3 business days prior to the move day is required to purchase moving supplies for delivery.
LemonTeam Corp will deliver the purchased moving supplies to the nominated location.
LemonTeam Corp does not offer refunds or returns on sold moving supply goods, used or unused.
12. TVs and Electronics
Appliances and other electronic devices: LemonTeam Corp will not be held liable for any internal components of an appliance and/or electronic device. When moving appliances & electronics, it can be necessary to tilt or turn these in a position that is other than upright. Doing this can cause loose components inside to come loose. Also, vibrations in the truck can cause components that may have already been loose to come apart. Therefore, LemonTeam Corp does not warranty the internal components of any appliance or electronic device.
The customer is required to turn on their TV prior to LemonTeam Corp packing the TV into a TV box. Both the foreman from LemonTeam Corp and the customer are to acknowledge on the signed bill of lading whether the TV works or does not work at the pick-up and drop-off locations. If the TV does not work at the pick-up location, LemonTeam Corp is not held responsible for any damages or claims.
If the TV works at the pick-up location and does not work at the drop-off location and no external damage is visible, LemonTeam Corp is not held responsible for any damages or claims.
If the TV works at the pick-up location and does not work at the drop-off location and external damage is visible, LemonTeam Corp will process the damages and claim for the customer.
LemonTeam Corp will not be responsible for damages to the TV if packed by the customer in their own box prior to the crew’s arrival.
LemonTeam Corp will dismount a wall-hanging TV if agreed at the time of booking the move, free of charge. Every additional TV wall dismount is $50 per TV. If LemonTeam Corp is required to dismount a TV that was not outlined in the inventory list when the customer was booking their move, a dismount fee of $50 per TV will apply.
LemonTeam Corp does not offer TV wall mounting services or any wall mounting services.
When moving any appliances, LemonTeam Corp is not responsible for disconnecting the electricity and will not be responsible for the disassembly/assembly of any appliances that cannot fit through the door unless previously agreed at the time of booking.
LemonTeam Corp can perform TV unmounting as a service but will not assume responsibility for any damages to the wall, including but not limited to holes or other damage resulting from the previous mounting of the TV or the unmounting process itself. Even if the unmounting is performed correctly, damage may occur due to improper or overly tight mounting methods used previously. It is the customer’s responsibility to assess and accept any risks associated with the unmounting process. LemonTeam Corp shall not be liable for any such damages resulting from the TV unmounting.
13. Special Handling
Special handling services defined by LemonTeam Corp include packing, handling, and assembly/disassembly for heavy, valuable, fragile, and unique items, as well as moving requests. Special handling services require additional labor, skills, equipment, planning, and materials, which subsequently require a special handling fee.
When booking the move, the customer is responsible for clearly defining all of their items and required moving services. LemonTeam Corp will inform the customer which items or required moving services have an associated special handling fee.
Additional padding/protection applies to furniture made of one or more of the following materials, but not limited to: marble, any type of stone, glass, crystal, mirrors, screens (such as Pelotons), or picture frames larger than 4 ft x 4 ft. These items may require additional protection with moving blankets, cardboard, or even wooden crating, resulting in additional fees.
Additional disassembly/reassembly applies to furniture that requires movers to remove 8 or more screws or spend over 20 minutes to disassemble/reassemble. Items that fall under this category include, but are not limited to: armoires, bookcases, shelves, cabinets, entertainment centers, beds (storage, captain’s, canopy, electric, loft, trundle, bunk, adjustable), sofas, wall units, etc.
Additional heavy item handling applies to any piece or furniture that weighs more than 200 lbs (approximately 90 kg). Examples of such items include, but are not limited to: pianos, large tables, gym equipment (ellipticals, treadmills, etc.), armoires, large dressers (triple, double), recliners, appliances (refrigerators, washing machines, dryers), sculptures, art installations, items made of heavy stones, metals, or solid wood, etc.
LemonTeam Corp strictly does not assemble furniture that was packed or assembled by another person or company. The company can move such disassembled items but is not responsible for reassembling them.
LemonTeam Corp reserves the right to refuse to disassemble or move items that require special instructions or training to be moved. Such items include, but are not limited to: gym equipment, built-in furniture installations, pool tables, refrigerators, commercial equipment.
LemonTeam Corp reserves the right to refuse to move or leave behind an item or piece of furniture based on the crew foreman’s assessment of the situation, with the main factors being the safety of all parties and the potential for damages (for example, if the foreman determines that moving the item is dangerous to the environment, walls, floors, doors, or could result in damage to the item itself or pose health and safety risks to movers, customers, or bystanders).
14. Furniture Assembly & Disassembly
LemonTeam Corp is not liable for any damages caused during the assembly and disassembly of furniture. The company reserves the right to determine whether an item requires an additional handling fee due to the size and complexity of the requested assembly and disassembly services.
It is the responsibility of the customer to fully disclose the true nature of the size and complexity of their items. LemonTeam Corp has the right to charge additional handling fees or refuse to move an item if large and complex items are present on moving day that were not fully disclosed at the time of booking.
The customer is responsible for providing assembly manuals for any complex or large items.
If an item requires specific handling or services from the manufacturer, the customer must contact the manufacturer to have their technicians disassemble the item before LemonTeam Corp picks up the item to be moved.
LemonTeam Corp provides a variety of furniture handling services, some of which require special handling that must be communicated before the move, as they may require additional fees and resources to safely complete the move.
Large wall units must be communicated at the time of booking to ensure that the necessary resources are available to handle such items. An additional handling fee will apply.
Armoires, china cabinets, pool tables, pianos, exercise machines, and similar oversized items that cannot be moved in one piece due to size or fragile materials such as glass or compressed wood require an additional handling fee as they must be disassembled and reassembled.
LemonTeam Corp strictly does not assemble furniture or any items that were not disassembled by LemonTeam Corp at the pickup location. The company is not liable for any damages or claims related to items disassembled and packed by the customer.
If a customer’s furniture or item requires special handling that was not disclosed during the booking process or disclosed to LemonTeam Corp with a minimum of 4 business days notice prior to the moving day, the company reserves the right not to disassemble the furniture. LemonTeam Corp requests that customers seek expert and professional furniture disassembly services for complex and special items that require special handling before the moving day, so that LemonTeam Corp can move the disassembled item to the drop-off location. LemonTeam Corp will not assemble such items at the drop-off location. If the item cannot be moved without disassembly, and special handling is required, LemonTeam Corp reserves the right not to move the item and will not be held liable for any damages or claims. The customer will be responsible for sourcing appropriate experts to disassemble and assemble the furniture for safe transportation. LemonTeam Corp will not be held liable for refunding charges for items not moved due to the customer’s failure to inform the company about special handling requirements.
15. Furniture & Mattress Disposal
LemonTeam Corp can perform furniture disposal services at the client’s request to a disposal center for an additional fee if requested at the time of booking.
LemonTeam Corp will inquire about additional fees for disposal to a center, covering additional mileage, labor, stops, and charges required by the disposal center.
LemonTeam Corp provides plastic covers for mattress disposal.
The company will dispose of the client’s items on the curb if previously requested at the time of booking and in accordance with the city’s curbside disposal pickup days. LemonTeam Corp is not responsible for any fines or penalties related to illegal curbside disposal; it is the client’s responsibility who owns the items and requested the service at the time of booking.
LemonTeam Corp will not dispose of any items curbside on moving day if the service was not previously requested during booking, without exceptions.
LemonTeam Corp does not provide disposal services for miscellaneous items during the moving and unpacking process unless they are packed by the client into boxes and marked as “For disposal.” The company can dispose of moving boxes packed by the client and marked for disposal or any other items that the client reports for disposal prior to moving day. If the customer requires disposal of more items, an additional disposal fee will apply.
16. Customer Privacy
LemonTeam Corp is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Statement applies to LemonTeam Corp services and governs data collection and usage at all LemonTeam Corp websites, third-party lead platforms, emails, phone calls, and the physical completion of services.
Collection of Personal Information
LemonTeam Corp collects personal information via phone, email, web forms, or third-party lead providers, such as your email address, name, home or work address, phone number, bank account details, and credit/visa card information. Information collected by LemonTeam Corp is used for billing and providing the purchased or related services. LemonTeam Corp does not collect information about your computer hardware and software.
How We Use Your Personal Information
LemonTeam Corp collects and uses your personal information to process service orders and deliver the requested services. LemonTeam Corp may also use personal information to inform you about other products or services available from LemonTeam Corp or its affiliates. The company may contact you via email marketing, surveys, or to research your opinions on current or potential services.
LemonTeam Corp may contact you on behalf of external business partners about an offering that may interest you. In those cases, your personal information (email, name, address, phone number) is not transferred to the third party.
LemonTeam Corp may occasionally hire other companies to provide limited services on its behalf, such as international and long-distance moves, customer support, transaction processing, service provision, or statistical analysis of services. LemonTeam Corp will only provide those companies with the necessary information to deliver their services.
LemonTeam Corp does not collect, use, or disclose sensitive personal information, such as race, religion, or political affiliations, without your explicit consent.
LemonTeam Corp may access and/or disclose your personal information if required by law or if necessary to: (a) conform to legal processes or comply with legal requirements; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of LemonTeam Corp, including its website; or (c) act in exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users or the public.
Personal information collected on this site may be stored and processed in the United States or other countries where LemonTeam Corp or its affiliates maintain facilities, and by using this site, you consent to the transfer of such information outside your country.

LemonTeam Corp uses trusted third-party technology vendors who employ data encryption. Credit card and billing information is processed and stored on our First Data Bank and QuickBooks merchant accounts.
17. Liability Waiver During a State of Emergency, Pandemic, or Natural Disaster
Under the 2020 COVID-19 New York State Executive Order “Essential Business,” LemonTeam Corp is considered an “Essential Business.” We have increased the sanitization of our trucks and equipment to protect our customers. Our essential workers (movers and foremen) are advised under strict company policy to wear face masks and gloves during every customer move. They are also advised to wash their hands frequently and use hand sanitizer provided by the company. If they are sick, they are advised to stay home until cleared.
LemonTeam Corp will not be held liable for any damages if a customer or community member contracts an illness during the 2020 COVID-19 New York State Executive Order “Essential Business.” If you choose to move with LemonTeam Corp during this period, it is at your own risk, and you acknowledge this term. The company will not be held liable for any damages, sickness, or death resulting from the customer’s move.
18. Disclaimer of Warranties: Limitation of Liability
We do not guarantee, represent, or warrant that your use of our service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
We do not warrant that the results from using the service will be accurate or reliable.
LemonTeam Corp is not responsible for delays due to road traffic conditions.
LemonTeam Corp is not responsible for building time restrictions.
You agree that from time to time, we may remove the service for indefinite periods or cancel the service without notice.
You expressly agree that your use of, or inability to use, the service is at your sole risk. The service and all products and services delivered to you are provided “as is” and “as available,” without any representation, warranties, or conditions of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, durability, title, and non-infringement.
In no case shall LemonTeam Corp, its directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, interns, suppliers, service providers, or licensors be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages of any kind, including lost profits, revenue, savings, data loss, replacement costs, or any similar damages, whether based on contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or otherwise, arising from your use of the service, products, or any content made available via the service.
Because some states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, in such states or jurisdictions, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
